The Research Council of Norway and the Russian Academy of Science invites you to the 3rd Norway - Russia Arctic Offshore Workshop in St. Petersburg, 17th-18th of June 2008.
The Research Council of Norway and the Russian Academy of Science started their cooperation within the Petroleum Sector in 2005, with the 1st Norway – Russia Arctic Offshore Workshop, arranged in Moscow.
The third workshop will be organised in St.Petersburg in 2008 with the aim to broaden the cooperation between Russian and Norwegian researchers within the overall heading of effi cient and environmentallysafe development of offshore petroleum resources. More specifi cally it should identify areas for future cooperation within the framework of the PETROMAKS programme.
The principal objectives of the Norway – Russia Arctic Offshore Workshop are:
– to identify possible thematic areas for R&D co-operation across the boundaries
– to agree on a suitable framework for common research and technology co-operation and its
financing.
The participants are invited from basic and applied research institutions, manufacturers and servicecompanies, oil and gas companies. Both Russian and Norwegian Government participants are nvited to attend.
For each of the workshop sessions, key persons/organisations from Russia and Norway are specially invited, prepared to actively contribute to the discussions. They will also have good and up todate knowledge of technology development projects currently in process, and areas of new technologies and applications.
