Proscientia
The Proscientia project is administered under the Research Council and works to promote interest in research and science among young people aged 13-21, from the lower through the upper secondary school levels and into the first year after completed schooling.
The Proscientia project organises or administers the following activities:
Norwegian Contest for Young Scientists
For over 40 years young people in Norway have submitted projects in tough competition for cash prizes and the opportunity to participate in international contests and other activities for young scientists.
Writing competition on freedom of expression
A competition held annually in collaboration with the Freedom of Expression Foundation – Fritt Ord.
Maths and science Olympiads, the KappAbel competition (Nordic competition in mathematics for school classes) and the FIRST LEGO League
Competitions in technology, mathematics and the natural sciences for pupils at lower and upper secondary school levels.
Konkurransene.no
A website featuring information about competitions in research and a wide range of disciplines for pupils in Norwegian schools. A collaboration with the Holberg Prize School Project. Website: Konkurransene.no (in Norwegian)
